I’m looking to jump start my diet plan by doing a 3-4 day detox. I don’t want to take pills, or starve myself. I’m looking for what I can eat to detox. I was told by a co-worker that if I only ate fruits and veggies for 4-7 days that would help. Is there any truth to that? If not, what worked for you? Thanks!

7 days is not much to lose weight. But…
Drink a lot of water. Cut salt and sodium out of your diet. Reduce your carb intake and increase your amount of fruit and vegetables. Eat lean protein once a day, such as grilled chicken, so your iron doesn’t plummet and you begin to feel ill.
My motto is, eat when you’re hungry and stop when you’re full. If you are starving yourself then you will tend to binge later. Balance your day with equal meals, preferably 5-6 small meals, although that’s hard for some people to do. I cannot stress how important drinking water is. It will flush out your system. Much of this loss could be water weight, which comes from your body’s retention of water due to your intake of salt. If you cut out salt, your water retention will decrease.

And don’t expect to lose water weight without some sort of cardio. Try 30-45 minutes a day, if you are in good physical health, which I assume you are.
